The Accrington Pals
This lyrical and poignant play is set in Accrington during 1914-16. The “Pals” are the men from the local volunteer battalion who march high-spiritedly off to the Great War. Their experiences in the trenches contrast starkly to the women they left behind.
A heart wrenching story of courage of brothers in arms and the endurance and resilience of those at home.
